2008 ADAF Mothers Day Concert, Dance & Silent Auction
This years major fundraiser will be a Mothers Day Concert, Dance, & Silent Auction planned for May 10th, 2008 from 3:30pm to 10:30pm at Montegue's Pond.  Food will be served as well throughout the time.  Food tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and kids under 12 can eat for free.  We hope you will come and enjoy our entertainment, the dance DJ, and the many Mother's day items we will have featured in our silent auction.  Make sure you bring your family, friends, and neighbors.  Our goal is to get outside community involvement in this year’s event.  We believe holding this event on or around May 10th should allow for young alumni in college to come as well.

Parties interested in supporting the event should contact Robert Nauman {(rnauman@nc.rr.com) or 919-372-1658}.

Alumni Phone a Thon

Purpose is to update our records and dataset of former alumni of the Athens Drive Band.  Our event will have 3 major objectives:

Æ     Reconnect with the former Band Members

o       Give them an update on what has been happening to the Band Program at Athens Drive High School

Æ     Ask their permission to stay in touch with them about exciting news through our alumni email newsletter

o       Gain their current email address and contact information

Æ     Tell them about the benefits of a tax deductible gift to the Athens Drive Arts Foundation

o       Let them know what the foundation is and the benefits of the foundation to the band community.

o       WE WILL NOT BE ASKING FOR A CONTRIBUTION AT THIS POINT, BUT WILL NOT TURN ONE DOWN IF IT IS OFFERED.

The phones will be managed by students who volunteer their time.  We encourage any of the parents to participate as well.  The phone lines and office space has been graciously donated by Dr. Don Azevedo and the 3 C Family Services organization.

Questions regarding this event should be directed to Dr. Don Azevedo (dazevedo@nc.rr.com)
